An awesome experience, a summer of measuring plots in the forests of Ostrobothnia. I wanted to gain some work experience and I got so much more. I got to enjoy the city of Wasa, I met great people, I faced my fears, hung out on the beach,... Yes, it was sometimes hard, but that is part of the deal. That's easy to say now, but that's only because it didn't kill me and made me stronger. It feels so good to be out in the forest. They even prolonged my contract. I am truly grateful.

wasa mantra

The (almost) weekly meetings with our little mantra group were the highlights of last summer. It was always nice to sing, but sometimes there were these deep moments of reverence. They came out of nothingness, stayed for a few moments, and then dissolved into emptiness again. It are those moments that leave a deep sense of peace in us. (...until we get tangled up into the noise of our daily lives again.) Dear Sointu turned the evening I said goodbye for now into a small farewell party. I am still filled with gratefulness when I only think of.

I formulated such beautiful sentences about this night of wonder, but that was three months ago. Last year's concert was nice, and sure there were moments of deep reverence. But this year I was truly 'blown away'. This night became a journey into places of bliss and endlessness that I only had seen glimpses of, touching that place inside were peace resides. I spent it with the one I love, and there was healing in the songs and the silence.

For this I am grateful beyond words.

My nephew came to visit me and my lover. It was a miracle in itself that he actually came. I believed it first when I saw him come through the doors at the airport. It was a great week. He is such a wonderful boy and brought so much light to our existence.
