iltalehti

Tuulia and Taika on the front page of 'the' newspaper: The incredible survival mystery[?]: Half a kilo joy of life.... Was walking past a newspaper stand early Thursday morning and it took me a few seconds. Wait a minute!

kotka

Exploring my country of residence. Lovisa and Kotka.

Rocks with snow halos rock!

Driving and punk-rock rocks!

Kotka was boring. All the smaller cities are summer-cities. Spring ≠ Summer. Though beautiful areas with old houses at the bayside with old alders.

Tea on a terassi.

Rapid sun-bathing.

Easter holiday: Spending as much time outside as I can. Yesterday: Searched for a barbecue place, found a boulder in a field. A jewel in the dirt. Wondrous.

DCLXVI

Yesterday I celebrated the 666th visitor of this blog! Well technically it is the 666th visit, of which certainly half are by me, but if others can brag about visitor numbers, so can I. I'll be an ignorant beast. : )

Of course I still very much enjoy to nag my parents and other Christian's by nearly worshiping the number 666, but it is in fact a beautiful number. ...as the pentagram is a beautiful symbol. Sadly blackened by Roman emperors and popes. Cynically the number 666 (and 616) may refer to one of those history falsifiers: Resh + Samekh + Koof + Noon + Vav + Resh + Noon = 200 + 60 + 100 + 50 + 6 + 200 + 50 = 666 = NERO

[There's more to the number 666.]

baptism

In the name of the Mother, the Sun and the Universal Soul.......... Amen!

Finnish traditions... Hadn't done this one yet. Baptism. But Taika had to be baptized still. Again an interesting experience. The priest fooling around with water and candles, making signs with his hands. Big dinner afterwards. Bit awkward since most of Maija's family members were not attending due to some feud. And of course I was the only dude-without-a-suit.....

The priest was very sympathetic. He told that it is common for priests to participate in the dinners as well. Awesome job! Foooooood! : o
