Mom and dad visiting with Christmas. Was dope. Lot of dinners. Singing Christmas songs. All good.

this vaccination is voluntary

What do I know? You hear these stories of a big pharmaceutical company, Baxter, mixing life bird and seasonal human flu viruses and distributing them to [10] laboratories all over Europe, and one of those laboratories by coincidence discovering a 'mistake' has been made. Might have been hushed up, might be a conspiracy theory. But then you can read in the mainstream media that GSK is making billions on swine-flu vaccines without any competition (and simultaneously donating a few millions to some local projects), that high-ranked civil servants of governmental health institutes are members of the board of a medical research organization financed to a 100% by pharmaceutical companies, and that the members of the WHO-committee 'advising' governments are secret... And then you get a letter home that you can come get your vaccination and that ...this vaccination is voluntary.

When will the next vaccination be obligatory? And with what measures will I be forced to be injected with some shady substance?

Almost 25 years ago already. Some artists get together and a few weeks later planes are dropping food over a famine-stricken country. It's all possible. All a matter of choice.

be still

Got this Bible verse through different media. So, it has to be important. Definitely something to meditate on. : )

Be still, and know that I am God

Rich Germans demand higher taxes - awakening - moving to oneness

A group of rich Germans has launched a petition calling for the government to make wealthy people pay higher taxes.

The group say they have more money than they need, and the extra revenue could fund economic and social programmes to aid Germany's economic recovery......

mitt i naturen

One of the highlights in [the contends of] my life recently was the In the Middle of Nature conference I attended with two wonderful colleagues. A conference for teachers, social workers, nature guides, health care providers, among others on outdoor activities. The idea was to spend most of the time outside. And so we did. We had one lecture inside and then left by bus to the banks of Lake Bodom [indeed from the Children of ... and the Lake Bodom Murders]. Did workshops about team-building, [animal] tracking and survival techniques. Learned how important it is to be outside a lot, and then returned to our indoor workplace.

redwoods

Photograph by Michael Nicholds

Times are changing. Yes, it's a mad world, but things are changing for the better. In the past I suffered tremendously from cigarette smoke. It was wherever I went. It seemed a long process, but it's actually a revolution, in a few years time smoking has been banned in most public places. I almost don't have to bother about it anymore. I could not have dreamed that 10 years ago. And that to me is a confirmation that humans can change if we only want to. ...or better, if we only reach a higher level of awareness. And that we do. Climate chance, another example, is [seemingly] all of a sudden a huge issue.

Well, I read this article in the National Geographic and the author quoted a logger who was commenting on environmentalists. I thought that was so beautiful. Who could have guessed a logger saying that for 50-40-30-20-10 years ago?!

"The might think I'm a gun-toting, right-wing redneck, but what they have to understand is, they've got our attention."

heal the world

All the time since Michael passed away I felt like posting the words of Heal the World. They are so beautiful. And they mean so much more to me than I realized. Michael means so much more to our generation than we realize. I mean this big pop *star* singing It doesn't matter if you're black or white.... We all heard that! Sure that influenced us.

There's a place in your heart
And I know that it is love
And this place could be much
Brighter than tomorrow.
And if you really try
You'll find there's no need to cry
In this place you'll feel
There's no hurt or sorrow.
There are ways to get there
If you care enough for the living
Make a little space, make a better place.

Heal the world
Make it a better place
For you and for me and the entire human race
There are people dying
If you care enough for the living
Make a better place for
You and for me.

If you want to know why
There's a love that cannot lie
Love is strong
It only cares for joyful giving.
If we try we shall see
In this bliss we cannot feel
Fear or dread
We stop existing and start living
Then it feels that always
Love's enough for us growing
Make a better world, make a better world.

And the dream we would conceived in
Will reveal a joyful face
And the world we once believed in
Will shine again in grace
Then why do we keep strangling life
Wound this earth, crucify it's soul
Though it's plain to see, this world is heavenly
Be God's glow.

We could fly so high
Let our spirits never die
In my heart I feel
You are all my brothers
Create a world with no fear
Together we'll cry happy tears
See the nations turn
Their swords into plowshares
We could really get there
If you cared enough for the living
Make a little space to make a better place.

There are people dying if you care enough for the living
Make a better place for you and for me.

You and for me / Make a better place
You and for me / Heal the world we live in
You and for me / Save it for our children

There Is More Than Enough

There is more than enough of everything for everyone to live quite happily. It is simply a matter of changing your "every man for himself" economy to a "highest good for all" economy.

matin kesäjuhlat

Already over a month ago. But we spent a weekend at Matti's [Maija's course mate] summer house to celebrate his annual summer party. It was one of those first still warm nights that darkness came falling during the evening sauna session. ...and you could see scattered lights on the opposite shore.

Played beach-volley and mölkky. ...throwing sticks!

evil monkeys revisited

How is it possible that humans killed in excess of 100 million fellow humans in the twentieth century alone? Humans inflicting pain of such magnitude on one another is beyond anything you can imagine. And that's not taking into account the mental, emotional and physical violence, the torture, pain, and cruelty they continue to inflict on each other as well as on other sentient beings on a daily basis.
Do they act in this way because they are in touch with their natural state, the joy of life within? Of course not. Only people who are in a deeply negative state, who feel very bad indeed, would create such a reality as a reflection of how they feel. Now they are engaged in destroying nature and the planet that sustains them. Unbelievable but true. Humans are a dangerously insane and very sick species. That's not a judgment. Ifs a fact. It is also a fact that the sanity is there underneath the madness. Healing and redemption are available right now.

That Would Heal the World

I invite every minister, every priest, every rabbi, every teacher, every guru, every Master, every president, every prime minister, every king, every queen, every leader, every nation, every political party to issue one statement that would heal the world:

OURS IS NOT A BETTER WAY, OURS IS MERELY ANOTHER WAY.

Visited the homeland with my lover. That was wonderful. Spending time with my family and friends | the joy of being in their presence | the beauty of Dutch landscapes | the vastness of the sea | the replenishing feeling of biting into a salted herring | . . .

gent

Reminiscing our time in Umeå. We met with our Belgian friends in Gent.

Weird, for a moment it felt like I was back in Umeå 5 years ago. Just the sound of their voices, way of talking, ... I don't know. But as soon as you realize it, the feeling is gone of course. The whole group we had really made our time in Umeå as great as it was. Barbecueing with some other dudes wouldn't have been the same. : )

Nice to enjoy their company, nice to see the city. Hadn't been there before.

Cazimir honored us with a whole week's visit. It was good times. We took it easy and still did a lot of cool things. He liked being here and I like him being here. : ) Win-win. : )

I'm happy he survived the birch nearly crushing his skully. In one split second things could have gotten beyond fucked-up. But they didn't. So, I learned my lesson and have one more thing to be grateful for.

Differences and Divisions

Differences and divisions are not the same thing.

Differences confirm, and make possible, your experience of Who You Are. Divisions confuse, and render impossible, that experience. Without the differences between here and there, up and down, fast and slow, hot and cold, none of these things could be experienced. Yet there is no division between here and there, up and down, fast and slow, hot and cold. These are merely different versions of the same thing. Similarly, there are no divisions between black and white, male and female, Christian and Muslim. These are merely different versions of the same thing.

siikaneva

Maija and her friend Inari Y. were ''''''''working'''''''' in Siikaneva yesterday. I got the chance to see [experience] the most beautiful pristine peatland area in Finland. It is indeed a pearl. Islands of forest surrounded by mire that looked so 'whole', old-growth forest with huge pines, lots of dead trees [which give these forests a very different feeling then managed forests!], ...

wave and ocean, you and god

At the same time I got to know this most beautiful song, I got this text on the Inspirational Message of the Day. Don't know, would just like to share it. Here's a piece of a live performance of the song. Touching in itself.

The wave lands on the beach, but it does not cease to be. It merely changes form, receding back into the ocean.

The ocean does not get "smaller" every time a wave hits the sand. Indeed, the incoming wave demonstrates, and therefore reveals, the ocean's majesty. Then, by receding into the ocean, it restores the ocean's glory.

The presence of the wave is evidence of the existence of the ocean.

Your presence is evidence of the existence of God.

a new earth

In previous posts i've been talking about my hard time dealing with the madness of the world. [Don't we all struggle with the madness of the world?] Yesterday evening i was listening to the A New Earth audio book by ET. And then i had this feeling of relief. He talked about the madness of the world, of all the destruction and pain caused by our collective human ego. And to me that was an insight, a kind of confirmation. Ok, this world is mad. Now i can accept that and let go of the frustration. You don't have to do anything with that you observe. It is how it is.

tallink

On ascension day/night we had our annual employee party. We took the ferry to Tallin on Wednesday and stayed over night in a spa hotel. And that was just very nice. We swam, went to sauna and had a cocktail in the jacuzzi-bar. We went out for dinner in a '''''medieval' restaurant, chatted in some jazz club, danced in a foute discotheque, enjoyed the soul of the old town Tallinn, stuffed ourselves with unlimited amounts of food on the way back, . . . I very much enjoyed the company of my colleagues. All those different and wonderful personalities.

When we installed ourselves in our room I said "Wow, a naked chick over our heads". And then my roomy said that he thought it was a man. That people can be so different in their perception.

But then again I [ think I ] see naked chicks everywhere. : )
